Parents, can you spot the vapes?

A Smoke-free Paso del Norte, which is an initiative of the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, has experienced many successes since its inception in 1999. It supported important policy adoptions like the Clean Indoor Air Ordinance adopted by the City of El Paso in 2001, which prohibited smoking indoors and since been updated to include the prohibition of smoking and vaping in outdoor public spaces like public parks. As a result of this and other community-wide efforts, smoking rates in El Paso County declined from 21% 1996 to 11% today.

New “Explore AR” App brings Insight to DinoTracks tour

Did you know that dinosaurs once roamed the El Paso region?

The Insights’ DinoTracks tour offers visitors a 98-million-year-old fossil discovery over five different species of dinosaurs, volcanos, and marine organisms.

Once a person-guided tour, Insights recently launched the Explore Augmented Reality (AR) DinoTracks app. With support of the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, the AR DinoTracks app was developed to engage families in a self-guided walking tour.

The Federal Reserve Board of Governors has reappointed Tracy J. Yellen to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ El Paso Branch board of directors.

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation was recently recognized at the New Mexico Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (NMASLA) Design Award Gala in November for the development of the Master Plan for the Paso del Norte Trail.
