Affiliated Foundation: PDN Foundation and Fundación PDN announce new Board Chair and Members

The Paso del Norte Foundation (PDN) is pleased to announce the election of Carolyn L. Mora as the new 2016-17 PDN Board Chair. She is a certified public accountant and owner of Carolyn L. Mora Financial Services.
Steve Lauterbach was appointed as Vice-Chair and Chair-Elect. He is a certified public accountant and managing shareholder at Lauterbach, Borschow and Company.
Two new members to the Board of Directors – Tripper Goodman with Goodman Financial Group and Jose Prieto, M.D. with Partners for Pediatrics.

Health Foundation announces New Board Chair and Members

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation is pleased to announce the election of Jose Prieto, M.D. as the new 2016-17 Board Chair. Dr. Prieto has served on the board since 2011 and is a pediatric physician in private practice at Partners in Pediatrics.
Sharon Butterworth was appointed as Vice-Chair and Chair-Elect. She has served on the board since 2011 and is a community advocate on issues related to mental health.
Two new members to the Board of Directors – Rick Francis with WestStar Bank and Robert Moore with Strategic Growth Bank.

PdN HIE begins receiving data from The Hospitals of Providence

The Paso del Norte Health Information Exchange (PDN HIE) announced today that The Hospitals of Providence became the first organization to contribute data to the regional health information system.
The PDN HIE gives physicians and other community-based health care providers greater access to important health information about their patients.

Las Cruces Public Schools blends movement and activities with nutrition and personal health

Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) is always looking for innovative ways of changing the way P.E. classes are taught in the state of New Mexico. Through support from the Paso del Norte Health Foundation and its HEAL initiative, the school district is revising a traditional skills-based gym curriculum into one that blends movement and activities with nutrition and personal health.

Paso del Norte Foundation Annual Grand Slam Night at the Ballpark

Tickets are now on sale for the Paso del Norte Foundation’s annual Grand Slam Night at the Ballpark.
The event will take place on Friday, May 20, 2016 – 7 p.m. at the Southwest University Park – Santa Fe Pavilion/Sun King’s Saloon. Tickets are $100 per person with corporate sponsorship starting at $1,000.

Be aware of street closures in Downtown El Paso starting Monday, April 4

The following street closures will begin on Monday, April 4 and are necessary for the work related to the El Paso Streetcar Project. It is encouraged that commuters allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes.

Yandell Drive will be reduced to one westbound lane at Stanton Street. This closure will impact westbound motorists who use Exit 19A/Mesa Street and is expected to last for approximately four weeks.
